Anthropic Stock Symbol: ANT on the Nasdaq Global Select
October 30, 2026 | Anthropic Stock News
The Anthropic stock symbol is ANT. The S-1 filed on October 26, 2026 says Anthropic has applied to list its Class A common stock under that symbol. The exchange is the Nasdaq Global Select Market. ANT becomes a live quote only when the shares start trading after the IPO.
What is the Anthropic stock symbol?
ANT. The prospectus cover says Anthropic has applied to list its Class A common stock "under the symbol 'ANT'". SEC rules require that cover to show the market and the symbol. So the S-1 is the official place to confirm it.
The symbol covers the Class A shares only. Anthropic's other share classes, such as the non-voting Class N shares held mainly by strategic partners, aren't being listed. Our guide to what one ANT share gives you explains the share classes.
Which exchange will ANT trade on?
Nasdaq, on its Global Select Market. Nasdaq runs three listing tiers: the Global Select Market, the Global Market, and the Capital Market. Global Select has the strictest entry standards. Most of the largest Nasdaq-listed companies, including Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia, trade on it.
What does a company need to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market?
Nasdaq's Rule 5315 sets four financial tests, and a company has to pass one of them.
Test | Main requirement |
Earnings | At least $11 million of pre-tax income over the last three fiscal years, a profit in each year, and at least $2.2 million in each of the last two |
Market value with cash flow | Average market value of at least $550 million and $110 million of revenue, plus $27.5 million of cash flow over three years (positive in each year) |
Market value with revenue | Average market value of at least $850 million and revenue of at least $90 million in the last fiscal year |
Assets with equity | Market value of at least $160 million, total assets of $80 million, and stockholders' equity of $55 million |
On top of the financial test, an IPO needs a $4 bid price and 1,250,000 freely tradable shares worth $45 million or more. It also needs at least 450 round-lot holders, or 2,200 holders in total.
Anthropic reported a net loss of $41,965 million for 2025, so the earnings test doesn't fit. But its 2025 revenue of $4,585 million is more than 50 times the $90 million floor in the revenue test. Anthropic passes that test at any valuation close to the reported ones.
Does the Nasdaq listing affect index inclusion?
Yes. The Nasdaq-100 only accepts companies with a primary listing on a Nasdaq exchange, and its rules exclude the Capital Market tier. A Global Select listing keeps ANT eligible, subject to the other criteria. Our article on whether Anthropic could join the Nasdaq-100 explains the fast entry rule that SpaceX used in 2026.
Why check the symbol before trading?
Because a famous name attracts look-alikes. Several guessed tickers, such as ANTH and CLDE, circulated for months before the filing, and some still show up in search results. The S-1 cover is the reference to check against, and our article on the ANTH and CLDE confusion walks through the check. For the company behind the symbol, see our Anthropic IPO guide.
Key takeaways

- ANT isn't a live quote until the IPO prices and Nasdaq opens the stock.
