ANTH, CLDE, or ANT? The Only Confirmed Anthropic Ticker

October 30, 2026  |  Anthropic Stock News

There's no ANTH stock. ANT is the only ticker Anthropic has named. Symbols such as ANTH, CLDE, and CLAU circulated before the filing as guesses. One prediction market listed nine candidates the day Anthropic announced its confidential filing. Only one of them, ANT, turned out right. And an order placed under a guessed symbol can end up buying a different company's stock.

Which ticker did Anthropic choose?

ANT. Anthropic's S-1, filed on October 26, 2026, says it has applied to list its Class A common stock under that symbol. The exchange is the Nasdaq Global Select Market. That filing is the first official statement of the ticker. Our article on Anthropic's stock symbol covers what the Nasdaq listing means. Our Anthropic IPO tracker logs each step of the listing as it happens.

Where did ANTH and CLDE come from?

From guesswork before the filing. When Anthropic announced its confidential submission on June 1, 2026, no ticker was public. A Polymarket prediction market opened that day asking what the ticker would be. It listed ANT, ANTH, AAI, CLAU, ANAI, APBC, ARPC, CLD, and CLDE as options. Those guesses spread across social media and search results, and some of them still rank for "Anthropic ticker" today.

Is ANTH stock the same as Anthropic stock?

No. ANTH isn't Anthropic's ticker, so any security trading under it belongs to someone else. FINRA warns that US stock symbols can have up to five letters and "might resemble the name of more than one company." Its example is investors who bought ZOOM and ZMTP when they meant Zoom Video Communications, which trades as ZM.

How do you check a ticker before placing an order?

Use the company's own filings. SEC rules require the cover of a prospectus to show the exchange and the trading symbol. Anthropic, PBC files on EDGAR under CIK number 2130357, and its S-1 cover names ANT. Once the IPO prices, the final prospectus carries the same symbol.

EDGAR's company search works by name or CIK number, so searching "Anthropic, PBC" leads straight to the filing. If a quote screen shows a symbol that doesn't appear on the prospectus cover, it isn't the IPO stock.

Can ANT be bought before the IPO?

No. The ticker is attached to Anthropic's listing application. It becomes a live quote only when Nasdaq opens the stock after pricing. Before that, any product presenting itself as Anthropic stock, under ANT or any other symbol, isn't the Nasdaq-listed Class A share. Our article on why there's no ANT stock price yet explains where the quoted figures come from. And our guide to buying Anthropic stock before the IPO explains what a pre-IPO offer sells.

Key takeaways
  • ANT is on the S-1 cover. It's the only Anthropic ticker that exists, and it isn't tradable until the IPO prices.
  • ANTH, CLDE, and CLAU were pre-filing guesses. Any security trading under one of them belongs to another company.
  • The symbol on Anthropic's prospectus cover on SEC EDGAR is the only one that counts.
