What a confidential submission means
A confidential draft submission starts the SEC review privately. It is not a public filing, it does not set a date, and it does not guarantee that an offering will happen [1]. Before Anthropic can market the deal, it must publicly file the registration statement and all draft submissions on EDGAR at least 15 days before the roadshow [9]. That public Form S-1 is the first time audited financial statements, the share count, the price range and the proposed exchange become visible [7].

Anthropic IPO FAQ
Anthropic has not announced an IPO date. In its June 1, 2026 statement the company said the confidential submission gives it the option to go public after the SEC completes its review, and that the proposed offering will depend on market conditions and other factors. [1]
Reuters reported on September 4, 2026 that Anthropic is expected to begin marketing the offering in mid-October at the earliest and to complete the listing days before the November midterm elections, with the public prospectus expected in late September. The sources cautioned that the plans, including the timing, are subject to change. That is reporting, not an announcement. [5] [10]
Not today. Anthropic is privately held and its shares do not trade on any exchange. An ordinary brokerage account cannot buy them. [1]
Before the IPO, private-company shares generally change hands only in secondary transactions limited to accredited investors, and such transfers typically require the company’s approval. Products marketed under the Anthropic name are issued by third parties, not by Anthropic, and are not the same as owning Anthropic stock.
Once Anthropic common stock is listed, it can be bought through a brokerage account like any other stock. For 2x long, 2x short or 1x short daily exposure without a margin account, Leverage Shares by Themes has ANUU, ANDD and ANSS on file with the SEC; they cannot begin trading until Anthropic is listed and their registration statement is effective. [11]
Anthropic confidentially submitted a draft registration statement on Form S-1 to the SEC on June 1, 2026. A confidential submission is reviewed privately by the SEC and is not visible on EDGAR. [1]
A public Form S-1 has not been filed as of the review date on this page. Under SEC procedures, Anthropic must publicly file the registration statement at least 15 days before it begins its roadshow. [8] [9]
The most recent company-stated figure is a $965 billion post-money valuation, set by the $65 billion Series H round announced on May 28, 2026. [2]
Reporting has put an eventual IPO valuation higher. CNBC reported on August 21, 2026 that investors project the company could float at about $2 trillion, and Reuters reported on September 11, 2026 that Anthropic is seeking to raise as much as $100 billion at around that valuation. Both are reports of private discussions, not company guidance, and the offering has not priced. [6] [13]
Anthropic does not have a stock ticker. A symbol is assigned in connection with a listing, and no exchange or symbol has been announced. [1]
ANUU, ANDD and ANSS are the tickers of the Leverage Shares 2x Long, 2x Short and 1x Short Anthropic Daily ETFs. They are not Anthropic’s ticker, and Leverage Shares is not affiliated with Anthropic. [11]
Anthropic has not announced a listing exchange. Bloomberg and Business Insider reported on September 13, 2026 that Anthropic has picked Nasdaq, citing a person familiar with the matter; Anthropic and Nasdaq declined to comment. That is reporting, not a company statement. The public Form S-1 will name the proposed exchange. [12] [9]
Anthropic’s annualized revenue run rate reached more than $65 billion at the end of July 2026, a figure shared with investors and first reported by Bloomberg. The company itself said the run rate had crossed $47 billion in May 2026. [3] [4] [2] Anthropic publishes no audited financial statements. Audited figures will appear for the first time in the public Form S-1.
Anthropic has not issued an ETF. No ETF can hold Anthropic common stock until it is publicly listed. Leverage Shares by Themes has three Anthropic-linked ETFs on file with the SEC: the 2x Long Anthropic Daily ETF (ANUU), the 2x Short Anthropic Daily ETF (ANDD) and the 1x Short Anthropic Daily ETF (ANSS). Their registration statement is not yet effective and shares are not available for purchase. Please see the preliminary prospectuses for more information. [11] [14]
ANUU seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, of 200% of the daily performance of Anthropic stock. ANDD seeks -200% of the daily performance. ANSS seeks -100% of the daily performance. [11] All three seek their objective for a single trading day and reset daily. For periods longer than a day, returns will very likely differ from 2x, -2x or -1x of Anthropic’s return over the same period because of compounding, and the funds can lose money even if Anthropic stock moves in the expected direction over a longer period. The funds do not invest directly in Anthropic stock.
The funds cannot begin trading until Anthropic common stock is publicly listed and the funds’ registration statement is effective. No launch date can be set before Anthropic’s own listing date is known. [11] Sign up for updates below, or follow the product pages for ANUU, ANDD and ANSS.
