The Short Contango Long Equity Strategy pairs a core long allocation in diversified US equity ETFs with an actively managed short position targeting asset classes — such as VIX, natural gas, and crude oil futures — prone to structural value erosion from contango. By shorting exchange-traded products exposed to rolling futures contracts, the strategy seeks to convert a well-documented market inefficiency into a potential return driver.
