SpaceX Stock: Bullish Earnings Forecasts and Price Targets
October 13, 2026 | Research Insights
After a period of sideways trading near the $150 level, SpaceX stock has moved higher in recent weeks. Earlier this month, it rose above $1751 – its highest level since June.
One key driver of this strength has been higher earnings forecasts and bullish stock price forecasts from Wall Street analysts. Here’s a look at some key numbers from within the analyst community.
Earnings Forecasts Are Rising
As of October 7, the consensus 2027 earnings per share (EPS) forecast for SpaceX was $1.765 per share. That compares to $1.737 on September 7 and $1.463 on August 72.
So, in the space of two months, the consensus 2027 EPS forecast has jumped roughly 21%. That’s a significant increase and it’s no doubt playing a role in the stock’s recent strength.

As for what’s driving this increase in earnings forecasts, one key factor is Starlink economics. Looking ahead, Starlink could see more business from higher-margin enterprise customers across industries such as aviation, maritime, and defense, while simultaneously benefiting from operational leverage (Starlink already has over 11,000 satellites in orbit3).
Another key factor is AI compute. Here, subsidiary xAI is seeing rapid growth thanks to high-value enterprise AI infrastructure contracts (which carry significantly higher margins than core space launch operations).
It’s worth pointing out that in late September, it came to light that Anthropic plans to spend up to $84.5 billion on computing capacity with SpaceX through 20294. Deals like this could potentially drive earnings significantly higher.
Note that taking the 2027 earnings forecast of $1.765, SpaceX’s forward-looking price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio is around 95 at today’s stock price. That’s a high valuation, but it’s not totally unreasonable given SpaceX’s competitive advantages and prolific rate of growth.
Bullish Price Targets for SpaceX
As for price targets, analysts have been coming out with some targets that imply significant stock price upside from current levels. Here’s a look at all the SpaceX price forecasts that have been posted in the last month5.
Most of those targets are above $200. So, analysts are generally bullish on the space stock.
Note that the average price target, according to investing.com, is $228. That implies upside of around 35% from today’s stock price.
It’s worth pointing out that some firms have increased their price targets recently. One such firm is Goldman Sachs, which went to $230 from $220 on October 5.
In a research note6, Goldman analysts raised their total sales forecasts to $51.6 billion for 2026, $127.5 billion for 2027, and $205.6 billion for 2028 – increases of roughly 8%, 19% and 14% from prior estimates – largely due to AI growth. EPS forecasts also moved higher, to $1.30, $3.96, and $7.01, respectively.
Analysts See Further Gains Ahead
Overall, activity from within the analyst community is overwhelmingly bullish at present and this is clearly supporting the stock. While there are a few firms that see SpaceX as overvalued, the majority of firms are constructive on the setup.
