Overview
The Senior Fund administrator is responsible for all aspects of the service provided to clients, specifically the timely and accurately calculation of the Net Asset Value of exchange-traded funds/products (ETFs and ETPs). The Senior Fund administrator will communicate directly with portfolio managers and trader and report directly to the COO.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and/or Review of Net Asset Value calculations, including cash and portfolio reconciliation, portfolio valuation, calculation of fees and accruals and/or other required actions.
- NAV Calculation: Oversee the daily calculation of NAVs for various ETFs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Transaction Management: Ensure that all ETF transactions, including creations, redemptions, income, and expenses, and corporate actions are accurately recorded and booked.
- Reconciliation: Lead the daily reconciliation of all cash, investment positions, and other balance sheet items related to the ETFs.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review periodic financial statements and other reports for ETFs, ensuring they meet industry and regulatory standards.
- Compliance: Ensure that all fund accounting activities are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the fund accounting function.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with portfolio managers, custodians, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and accurate reporting.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in fund accounting.
- Strong knowledge of ETF structures, operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in fund accounting software and systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
- University degree or CFA/CAIA preferred.
